About me

I'm a mixed medium artist with a focus on paper, paper maker and origamist. I am enraptured by the elegant technique of paper folding and creating objects from paper that transform into intriguing, relatable works of art. I am often influenced by nature and the beautiful aesthetics that are all around us. The textures, colors and warmth of many of my pieces are a reflection of natures beauty.

After working in Business Administration and the Culinary field for over thirty years, I aspired to take my creativity in a different direction by creating paper art. I fell deeply in love with origami and paper in general when I was young. But, it was not until I recently retired that the opportunity to focus on expanding my skills in this discipline has become a joyful daily experience. I have been practicing and studying origami for more than twenty five years, and find that the patience required to fold countless pieces of paper is my zen.

I am a Southern girl who grew up on the East and West Coasts of the United States. I now live in Merida Mexico where it is easy to be inspired by the colors of the city, natural surroundings, and the endless creativity of the artists who live here.
